Load is the sixth studio album by Metallica, originally released on June 4, 1996 via Elektra Records. It debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 and remained there for four consecutive weeks, becoming one of the biggest releases of 1996.
The album leans toward a more traditional heavy metal direction with strong groove elements, and features major singles including: “Until It Sleeps”, “Hero of the Day”, “Mama Said”, “King Nothing”.
